Game Recap

The Mineral Ridge Rams hosted the Waterloo Vikings this evening at Joe Lane Stadium. It was a beautiful night for high school soccer. The Rams started quick and just 2 minutes in Junior TJ Gaydosh earned a penalty kick which Senior Braedynn Porter finished to put the Rams on top. From there, the Rams never looked back. Junior Yanik King would score after stealing the ball from a Waterloo Centerback and Junior TJ Gaydosh would have a hat trick with assists from Yanik King, Ian Bitner (Jr) and Garret Smith (Jr). The Rams would lead 5-0 at the half. The second half would see the Rams score two more courtesy of Junior Ian Bitner with assists by Garret Smith and Matheus Cordiero. The Vikings would have a few decent chances to score but the Rams defense and Keeper Jacob Carfolo would be up to the task, securing the shutout. The Rams win 7-0 and advance to 9-2 on the season. Next up for the Rams, a home match against the Southeast Pirates on Thursday 9/28/17.
